To the continuation of fitness movement programme, We conducted KHELO INDIA fitness assement for the children i.e Flamingo balance test for developing the concentration, Leg strength and body balance of the child . Partial Curl up to develop flexibility and abdominal strength of the child. This activity helped them to connect with the idea of being fit in a positive way.
After the introductory session, the participants were told about the Khelo India 'Battery of a Fitness Assessment Tests'. These tests were explained to them with the help of videos along with the assessor app web portal for schools and parents. Different tests, such as BMI, flamingo balancing, push-ups, 50 mtr race to name a few were explained to them and the participants tried to calculate and upload the data. They were taught to upload the data of the children. The participants were taken to the ground to show them how to record the data regarding 50 mtr and 600 mtr races. Whatever explained in the sessions were shown to them physically for a better understanding of the concepts. The concluding session was about the importance of healthy living. The resource person was Aishwarya Vakil who explained the ways for reducing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Srikant Kumar Nayak observer from SAI was prominently present throughout the workshop.
