After the announcement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's corona vaccine will come in a few weeks, the Gujarat government is all set in the state for vaccination.  In the first phase, 3.96 lakh health workers will be vaccinated.  Then all citizens will be vaccinated in phases, said Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.  Like polling booths for polling, 47796 vaccination centers and a team of 15534 employees have been formed to administer vaccines.

 Cold storage system in 41 districts
 Nitin Patel said that task forces have been formed in 33 districts, all talukas, 8 Municipal Corporations for vaccination.  The biggest question is to keep the vaccine in cold weather, so the government has large cold storage in 6 zones in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot.  Apart from this, cold storage has also been arranged in 41 districts and corporation areas.
Will inform the citizens by SMS
 PHC, CHC has arrangement of refrigerator and other appliances.  Two new walk-in coolers will be received from the Government of India to deliver the vaccine to remote areas.  169 Iceland refrigerators, 30 deep fridges will also be provided by the Government of India.  Currently 150 refrigerators have been received.  Citizens will be informed via SMS on the date, time and place of arrival for vaccination.  A system has also been developed for this.

 No decision yet on vaccine rates
 Patel said what will be the rate of vaccine, will people be charged or not?  It has not been decided.  But the cost of government employees who serve as Corona Warriors will be borne by the government.  Vaccination will be carried out from the state government's budget or by raising a special fund.
Data above 50 years will be taken from the voter list
 In the second phase, people over the age of 50 will also be vaccinated.  The help of voter list will be taken to prepare the database.  "We have sought approval from the Central Election Commission to base the voter list," Patel said.

 100 were vaccinated in the trial, with no side effects
 Nitin Patel said that a total of 100 volunteers have been vaccinated so far during the trial vaccination in Gujarat.  None of which have had any side effects.

 The vaccine will be suitable for the local environment
 Pfizer's vaccine storage requires a temperature of -70 degrees, and Gujarat has a maximum storage capacity of -25 degrees.  Replying to a question on this, Nitin Patel said, "We will use the vaccine according to our system, weather."
Deputy Chief Minister Patel added that task force has been formed at all 6 districts and 6 talukas and corporation level of the state.  Not only that, this task force has also done the necessary planning.  In Gujarat, 4 vaccine stores at zonal level, 21 stores at district and corporation level for storage of vaccines and 2,15 cold chain points have been made available to reach the hinterland. Technical audit of equipment at all stores has also been completed.  Out of two additional walk-in coolers, one one-in-one free and 15 Iceland refrigerators, about 150 Iceland refrigerators have been found.  20 deep freezes will be received from the central government.
He added that Gujarat has started planning for vaccination as per the guidelines of the Government of India.  In the first phase, information of healthcare workers is being prepared.  To date, a total of 4.5 lakh healthcare works have been collected from the state government's 2.31 lakh health workers and 1.5 lakh private health workers.  The second phase is planned to cover frontline workers such as homeguards, police, cleaners etc.  As per the instructions of the Central Government, a committee has been asked to be formed to prepare the information of the front line workers of the second department.  Instructions have also been given to prepare information of senior citizens above 60 years of age.  Cowin software has been developed by the Government of India for covid vaccine and beneficiary checking.  The district and the corporation have also started entering the information of vaccination site and vaccinator in this software.
He added that the health department has decided to vaccinate the front line corona warriors of government and private health institutions, which are leading in the treatment of corona, on a priority basis and work has been started to prepare a database for its implementation.  At the same time, information is being collected from private hospitals, corporate hospitals, Ashush dispensaries and hospitals, dentists, allopathy / AYUSH, general practitioners.  At the same time, the state's 108 ambulance service, Anganwadi staff will also be covered.

 The Deputy Chief Minister added that 3 vaccination centers have been identified in the state for vaccination operations.  15 teams will also be deployed for this.  All health workers will be trained as required for vaccination as per Government of India guidelines.  Citizens who need to be vaccinated should be notified in advance.  The place-time-date will be informed by the State Government.  The Deputy Chief Minister added that for monitoring the vaccination, the state level has appointed Mission Director NHM.  Has been demoted as Nodal Officer.  At the district and corporation level, the Collector and the Municipal Commissioner have been appointed as Nodal Officers.  At the state level, the progress of the program will be reviewed by the Chief Secretary and a State Task Force has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Health Secretary.  This committee will continuously monitor the vaccination.
