The issue of giving government mass promotion to lower class students is also under consideration. SCHOOL KHOLVA BABAT NEWS

After Diwali in Gujarat, the boom in Corona's case, the state government does not seem to start educational activities in schools.  Earlier, the government had announced to open the school from November 23, but in the current circumstances, the possibility of opening the school building for students till the next academic session is becoming less.  It turns out that this academic year will be mostly online for school students.  In another important matter, the consideration that the Gujarat government will give mass promotion to lower standard students other than the board has also started at the very early stage at the government level
It has been announced to delay the Std.  New rounds of corona are coming in the metros of Gujarat and also in other areas.  Education department sources said that the case of Kovid-19 has spread across the state.  Therefore, it is a far cry for the state government to open schools in the current academic session.  On the other hand, the government is still reluctant to start academic sessions in colleges and universities.  The state government wants to wait for the status quo till the end of December.  In the last three days, the number of Kovid cases has come down drastically but the number of Corona cases in Ahmedabad has crossed 50,000.  Which is 24 per cent of the entire state.  Corona cases are also fluctuating in some district taluka centers.  In this situation, experts believe that the pre-Diwali situation will go away in another 6 weeks.  Sources said there was no strong hope that Corona would be brought under control by the end of the current academic year.
Therefore, it is not advisable to open schools till the next academic session.  The situation will become clear only after the summer vacation of 2021.  Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that too big arrangements have to be made to take the exams and students have to be called under certain risks.  Instead the state government can give mass promotions to students.  While private schools will be free to take the exam online.  In another option, we will give test papers to government school students, the answers of which they can send from home.  The next arrangements for the standard 10 and 12 board exams, which were earlier planned to be taken under the Covid guide line, are also likely to be announced in time.  Overall, government sources believe that the current academic session will be based on online education, online exams and mass promotion.
Government mass promotion to lower class students also under consideration As the number of Kovid-19 cases increased after the Diwali festival, the state government was earlier forced to postpone its decision to reopen schools from November 23.  The government is now considering reopening schools from the next academic session.  The government is actively considering a proposal to give mass promotion to all lower class students.  However the board exams of standard 10 and standard 12 are likely to be taken with protocol.  The state government has no plans to reopen schools this academic year as corona cases are on the rise across the state, key sources in the state education department said.
Amid such circumstances, the government is not ready to consider any proposal to reopen schools', officials said.  'Cowid-19 cases are on the rise in cities, towns and rural areas.  In such a scenario the government does not want to discuss any proposal to resume schools.  According to experts, it will still take six weeks to reach the cases before Diwali, officials said.  "There is no prospect of a sharp decline in the number of Kovid-19 cases before the end of the current academic year.  The vaccine is also unlikely to be available before the end of this academic year.  The government says schools should not be reopened until the summer vacation of the next academic year, 2021, officials said.  On the issue of final exams of the year, key government sources said the government already has a ‘no detention’ policy.  The government can opt for mass promotion, while private schools write student
is free to take the exam online for assessment.  We will give test papers to the students of government schools, the answers of which they will have to write from home, ”the chief minister said.  The government is of the view that the board examinations of Std. 10 and 12 should be conducted in compliance with the guideline of Kovid-19.  If the situation does not improve at that time, the board exams may be postponed, officials said.
