Due to the Corona epidemic, the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has reduced the curriculum from Std-9 to Std-12 by 30 per cent in the academic year 2020-21 in the interest of the students.  Not only this, the examination system has also changed.  Accordingly, in standard 9, 10, 11 and 12 general stream, the proportion of objective questions in question papers has been increased to 30 percent.  Which was previously 20 percent.

50% MCQ in standard-12 science question papers unchanged
 While in Std-12 Science, the proportion of 50 per cent MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) and 50 per cent descriptive type questions in the question papers has been kept the same as before.  In Std-9 to Std-12 question papers in descriptive type questions will be given general option instead of internal option.  Pursuant to this change, Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has prepared question papers of 40 main subjects of Std. 10 and 12 in the form, merit and sample question papers by experts.

The study rule will apply for one year only
 The state government has reduced the curriculum of students in Gujarat by 30 per cent for one year.  This rule will only apply for one year due to the current corona condition.  Not only that, standard 10 and 12 students will be able to take stress free exams.  However, the Gujarat government has not yet decided when the schools will start.
