The Modi government has given a big relief to the central employees by increasing the dearness allowance on festivals.  Dearness allowance has been increased from 34 percent to 38 percent with effect from July 1, 2022.  But the central government is preparing to give another gift to the central employees.
The government is also considering increasing the house rent allowance after the dearness allowance.

According to the city in which government employees are working, they are given house rent allowance.  It is divided into three categories.  X category employees get house rent allowance at the rate of 27% of their basic pay.  Y category employees get house rent allowance at the rate of 18 to 20 percent of their basic pay.  While Z category employees are given house rent allowance at the rate of 9 to 10 percent.  The house rent allowance is determined according to the area and city.  It is believed that the house rent allowance of central employees may be increased by 3 to 4 percent from the current level.

Earlier on September 28, 2022, the Modi government had increased the dearness allowance of central employees from 34 per cent to 38 per cent in view of the festive season and skyrocketing inflation.  Which has been implemented from July 1, 2022 to February 2023.  On which Rs 6591 crore will be spent in one year and Rs 4394.24 crore from July to February in 2022-23.  The government has also increased the dearness relief for its pensioners.

According to the All India Consumer Price Index, the salary of the employees may increase drastically after the increase in dearness allowance.  Your salary will increase according to your pay scale.  If your basic salary is Rs 18000 then your salary will increase by Rs 6840 per annum.  This decision of the central government will affect 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners.

There is a possibility that the central government may announce 4 percent in DA.  After this the dearness allowance of the employees will increase from 34 to 38 percent.  Employees are going to get additional benefit of dearness allowance in September salary.  It is known that if the increased DA will be implemented from July 1, 2022, the employees will get the remaining 2 months of money as arrears.
