Home Learning Hello parents and carers! Now that schools are reopening, children will be reunited with their friends and teachers at last. Of course, we’re still some distance from ‘business as usual’ in schools, but White Rose Maths will very happily carry on helping you support your child to enjoy and master maths both in school and at home. We’ll continue to produce daily ‘home learning’ lessons for Years 1-9. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child complete the activity successfully.

Behind each of the stars below you’ll find a scanned version of the home learning packs that were sent home on the last day before school closed. You can use these to print, or copy to use at home. They are for dipping into and you don’t need to complete the entire pack, or bring them in to school. They will not be marked and are for helping you to support your child’s learning at school.

there are now some alternatives to online learning in which students in less fortunate situations could participate.
Online healthcare courses are suitable for individuals who enjoys providing help and support to others and looking to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. The role of a health care worker is to provide assistance with patients in a hospital, residential or domiciliary setting. This assistance is both physical and emotional in nature. Some of the tasks that may be required are serving food, helping with washing and dressing, taking measurements such as blood pressure or temperature and talking with patients to provide comfort. Along with the main knowledge of the role of a healthcare worker there may be other areas specific to the job role that a health care worker would need knowledge of such as infection control, safe handling of medication or continence care.
There was consensus that some additional resource was needed to develop enhanced health in care homes approaches, at least initially, but there was a large variation in the actual levels of resourcing, including one area with no specific resources. Each area needed to develop its own information to monitor costs and returns on investment as there was no clarity on what the level should be.
