This problem is not only of China but of all countries. Children’s screen time is constantly increasing. In 2017, online gaming company Tencent Holding said after complaints from parents and teachers that it was setting a time limit for the flagship mobile game “Honor of Kings”. In 2018, as the number of cases of near-sightedness among children continued to rise, the Chinese government decided to tighten its grip. She kept looking for her ways. Video games stopped being allowed for nine months after that.
China passed a law in 2019. It was decided that children could not play online games for more than 90 minutes on normal days of the week (Monday to Thursday). This period was extended to three hours on weekends. There was a complete ban on playing games from 10 pm to 8 am. The government also limited the expenses incurred by teenagers while playing online games. Depending on the age, children can spend a maximum of થી 28 to 57 57 (Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000) on virtual gaming items.
The government also made it a rule that children must enter a real name and national identification number when logging in to play online games. Companies like Tencent and Netiz have also built a system to find out who is playing. In July this year, Tencent also released a facial recognition function. It is also called Midnight Patrol. With the help of it, parents can know that children are not playing games as adults from 10 pm to 8 am.
What is the new rule and how will China implement it?

Children can only play for one hour on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well as on public holidays from 8 to 9 pm. Online gaming companies have to make sure that the login is done under a real name. All titles will also have to be linked to the anti-addiction system prescribed by the NPPA. The NPPA will increase inspections of online gaming companies to ensure strict compliance with these rules. The regulator has decided to take strict action against the companies violating the rules. If any company is found to be in trouble after the inspection, it will be fined. In this series, NPPA reviewed more than 10,000 video game titles last year.
The new rules also say that children often try to give a thumbs up by creating an account in the name of the parents. In this, parents as well as schools have to work actively. He will also have to do the work of supervision.
