In a statement from Cooper’s office, officials said the order, which still allows for takeout and delivery orders, would go into effect at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Justice said the confirmed case is in the state’s Eastern Panhandle, an area close to Washington, D.C. He did not immediately disclose the county where the illness occurred.

According to Ajay Chandanwale, Dean of Sassoon Hospital, the woman with difficulties in breathing was brought dead to the hospital a couple of days ago. Her tests samples which were sent to the National Institute of Virology returned positive.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Telangana shot up to 333 as 62 new cases were detected on Sunday. Of the total cases detected till April 5, 289 are active cases, 32 were discharged and 11 people suffering from coronavirus have died. Across the State, the highest number of 145 active cases were reported in Hyderabad, followed by 23 in Warangal Urban, and 19 in Nizamabad. Of the 32 people who were discharged, 10 are from Hyderabad, 11 from Nizamabad.

“We’re just here to help out, hand out food and make sure everybody feels comfortable and safe,” Army Sgt. “Appeal of the Prime Minister is to switch off only the home lights from 9 p.m. to 9.09 p.m. tonight. Lighting in common areas and street lights should remain on for public safety. Similarly, lights in other establishments including hospitals , public places, municipal  services, offices, police stations and manufacturing facilities, etc will function as in normal course.There will be no voltage fluctuation that could damage your appliances such as AC, fridge, fan, etc. There is no need to switch off lights from the main switchboard. Everyone may continue to use their electrical appliances without any worry or anxiety,” said the Ministry of Power in a series of tweets.

New York State, the epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic in the U.S., continued to record the highest count of daily deaths from COVID-19 as a staggering number of 630 people died in a 24-hour period and Governor Andrew Cuomo said the outbreak in the state could peak in about seven days.

Chief Financial Officer Frank Witter said, “2020 will be a very difficult year. The corona pandemic presents us with unknown operational and financial challenges. At the same time, there are concerns about sustained economic impacts.”
