GOOGLE MAP USEFULL APPLICATION FOR ALL
Google Maps continues to launch new features to enhance the user experience. Now a new feature has been added to Google Maps. It will also tell you how clean the air (AIR) in your area is.
This update was previously available for Pixel phones and Nest Hubs.
Now Android and iOS app users will also be able to take advantage of this feature. To do this you need to enable the Air Quality Index in Google Maps.
To enable Air Quality Index in Google Maps, you need to tap on Layer Settings. Let me tell you that the option of Public Transit, Traffic, 3D, Street View is only available in Layer Settings. You will also see the option of air quality in it.
Tapping on it will enable your local AQI data. As soon as you click on the Air Quality option, Google Maps will zoom out to your current location, after which you will see many pins on the screen.
This pin is big in your area. Their color varies according to air quality. By tapping on it, you can see the exact data of that place. Apart from this, you will also be shown additional data in the following sheet. It pops up after tapping on the location.
This sheet will explain the effect of this AQI. With the help of this, you can know by looking at AQI whether you should go for outdoor activities or not. There will also be a guide to this on the app. In India, the company is collecting these data with the help of the Central Pollution Control Board and the State Pollution Control Board.
National AQI updates this data. In India the AQI range starts from 0 and goes up to 500+. In which a small number is considered better.
You will soon see the Air Quality Map layer on the mobile Google App. You will find this option in the menu toggles where 3D objects, wildfire, traffic data and other options are available. If green appears on the map it means traffic is better, orange means bad and red means bad. You can also view current data by tapping on this point.
