The Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrass scheduled for June 19-21, 2020 has been postponed. The LPGA has delayed its season opening events until July 2020, which includes all Symetra Tour events. The Island Resort Championship Committee and the Symetra Tour are looking at possible dates in September that may open up for the tournament. The Island Resort Championship is entering its 10th annual event this year and the Committee is hoping the 2020 event can be staged. All sponsors, volunteers, housing hosts and the public will be informed as new information is received.
No visitors are allowed at the Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette, unless medically necessary or unless approved by administration for extenuating circumstances. The center is still accepting new residents, but none showing flu-like symptoms or from out of Marquette County. Dickinson County Healthcare is activating COVID-19 patient visitation restrictions, in order to protect the health and safety of patients, employees, providers, volunteers, and visitors. These restrictions are temporary until the situation is stabilized. Visitors must be 19 years of age or older. All visitors must have no symptoms of the cold or flu. Visitation is further limited by patient type: Terminally and Critically Ill Patient Visitation – Immediate family, spouse, or significant other only. Pediatric Patient – Parents and or care giver only. OB Patient – Spouse, significant other or coach only. All Other Patients – Spouse, significant other or care giver only.
