India win women’s T20 at Commonwealth Games

Even though it has been 3 days since the Commonwealth Games started, India has dominated.  India has so far won 5 medals in the Commonwealth and now India has hoisted the flag in women’s cricket as well.  India has now opened the account of victory in cricket in the Commonwealth Games.
In the fifth T-20 match, India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets
 India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the fifth T-20 match of the Commonwealth Games played at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.  Team India led by Harmanpreet Kaur scored 102 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 11.4 overs.  Smriti Mandhana scored 63 runs off 42 balls for India.  Smriti hit 8 fours and 3 sixes in her innings.  Smriti broke down fatally on the Pakistani bowlers.  Not a single Pakistani bowler could stand against him.
 Pakistan team all out for just 99 runs in 18 overs
 After winning the toss and batting first, the Pakistani team had to fall prey to India’s lethal bowling.  The Pakistani cricketers fell on their knees against the bowling of the Indian women bowlers and the entire team gathered in the pavilion after being bowled out for just 99 runs in 18 overs.  Pakistan’s condition deteriorated to such an extent that they lost their last 5 wickets for just 3 runs.  Sneh Rana and Radha Yadav took 2 wickets each for India.
Mandhana-Shafali put on a partnership of 61 runs off 35 balls
 Chasing 100 runs, Team India created a ruckus right from the start.  In the first 6 overs, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma shared 61 runs in 35 balls on behalf of India and shocked the Pakistani bowlers.  Shafali Verma was dismissed after scoring 16 runs.  Smriti Mandhana was unbeaten on 63 runs.
