Under the INSPIRE AWARDS – MANAK Scheme, students will be invited from all government or private schools throughout the country, irrespective of their educational boards (national and state) to send original and creative technological ideas/innovations focusing on common problems and come up with solutions on their own., be it household or for porters, labourers, society or the likes. Once the student has thought of an idea, he/she can submit their ideas to the Principal/Headmaster of their schools.

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) we have decided to post-pone the Inspire! Awards ceremony, until further notice. All nominators will receive notification by the end of May at the latest.  Please note, the Inspire! Awards nomination process is now closed.

Welcome to the Online Portal of the INSPIRE Programme “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)” is an innovative programme sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology for attraction of talent to Science. The basic objective of INSPIRE is to communicate to the youth of the country the excitements of creative pursuit of science, attract talent to the study of science at an early age and thus build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system and R & D base. A striking feature of the programme is that it does not believe in conducting competitive exams for identification of talent at any level. It believes in and relies on the efficacy of the existing educational structure for identification of talent. “Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world.” -Louis Pasteur

My summer internship was extremely fulfilling. I had the chance to explore the audit industry and Deloitte’s friendly working environment allowed me to meet seniors who were extremely patient with me, which aided my learning experience. In addition, there were numerous social events for us to take part in which allowed us to bond as a team and make new friends.

I applied for the Deloitte Inspire Award as I thought that it is really refreshing how an organisation rewards students for their contributions in their co-curricular activities on top of just their academic results. Being a Deloitte Inspire Award winner has definitely affirmed my efforts in pursuing my passions, while juggling my school work. I had a really enjoyable internship experience with Deloitte. I was not only able to learn more about the Audit profession, but I was also able to forge meaningful friendships! 

In order to create awareness of INSPIRE Awards – MANAK scheme amongst the people, regional workshops and innovation workshops. The regional workshops will be organised prior to the submission of entries for the competition and the participants comprising of teachers, principals, district and state-level functionaries will be informed about the revised scheme and sensitised about the need for innovation.
