Regarding the use of 10% composite school grant to meet the hygiene related facilities and WASH related requirements under the ‘Wash in School’ program

Under the integrated scheme for school education “Samagra Shiksha” one time composite school grant is allotted for construction and maintenance of infrastructural and necessary facilities in schools. Under this scheme
There is provision for allocating composite school grant including plan. Guidelines for the use of grants for the WASH in School program under the Composite School Grant: At least 10% of the composite school grants allocated to schools are used to promote the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, WASH facilities and to meet WASH related needs.
Water: If drinking water and hand washing facility is not functioning, to make necessary improvements or repairs so that the entire unit can be operated. Pure water, clean and safe toilet and hand washing with soap.
