The Union Ministry of Health has said that vaccination against corona virus will be voluntary.  The ministry also clarified that the vaccine manufactured in India is as effective as the vaccine being developed in other countries.  In addition, the Ministry of Health has advised to take a full course of the vaccine to protect oneself from the corona as well as family members, friends, relatives and co-workers who have come in contact.  The ministry has released the FAQ based on the questions asked about the vaccination drive.  We are giving you information through answers to 15 selected questions on how corona vaccination will be done in the country ….
1. Will corona vaccination be necessary for everyone?
 No.  It will be on a voluntary basis.  However, it is also advisable to follow a complete vaccine schedule to prevent coronavirus, so that you can protect your family, friends, relatives and co-workers from this disease.
2. How will the vaccine be given first?
 The government has decided the priority group.  The first group will have health care and front line workers.  The second group will include people who are over 50 years of age or who are under 50 years of age but have a serious illness.
 The 50+ group has been chosen because vaccinating this age group will cover 78% of such people who also have a serious illness. The 50+ group will be divided into the two most sub-groups.  The first subgroup will be people aged 60+.  They will be vaccinated first.  The other subgroup will be people in the age group of 50 to 60 years.  The vaccine will then be given. If the vaccine availability is good, both sub-groups can be vaccinated simultaneously.
3. Will an infected person be vaccinated?
 In response to this question, the ministry said that such a person would be vaccinated 14 days after the onset of symptoms of the infection.
 4. Is it necessary to vaccinate those who have recovered from corona?
 Yes, whether you have had corona before or not, you are advised to be vaccinated to strengthen your immune system against the virus.
5. The biggest question- how will the vaccination take place?
 Priority group vaccination will be done earlier as per the availability of vaccines. Those who are eligible under this group will be informed about the time and health facility via SMS through registered mobile number after online registration, mask will have to be applied at the vaccination center.  Hands should be kept sanitized.  Social Distinction will have to be complied with. People eligible for vaccination will be given vaccination related information on their registered mobile number.  Information will be given on which center they will be vaccinated at and when.
 You have to stay at the center for at least half an hour after the vaccination.  If you do not feel well, report it to the staff there. After applying all the doses of the vaccine, you will also be given a certificate based on the QR code on your mobile.
6. How many doses of vaccine will there be?
 There will be two doses.  It should be taken at intervals of 28 days.  You will then need to complete the vaccination schedule.
 7. Will someone be vaccinated if they have not registered with the health department?
 No.  Registration is required.  Only after registration will the person be told where, at what time they have to arrive for the vaccine.
 8. What documentation will be required for a vaccine that is suitable?
 Any photo ID in it is required for registration

9. Will a photo ID be required at the time of registration?
 Photo ID will be required at the time of registration.  It will be verified at the time of vaccination.
 10. What happens if no photo ID is presented at the place of vaccination?
 Photo ID is required for registration and verification at the time of vaccination
 11. If someone is taking medicine for a disease like cancer, diabetes, hypertension, will he be vaccinated?
 Yes, a patient with this type of illness will fall into the high risk category.  They need to be vaccinated.
12. When will antibodies develop?
 Antibodies will develop two weeks after receiving the second dose of the corona vaccine.
 13. Will there be side effects of the vaccine?  What precautions need to be taken?
 Corona vaccine will be introduced when safety is proven.  Otherwise the vaccine will cause some symptoms like general fever or pain.  State governments have been asked to take steps to address the side effects of the vaccine.  The mask should be applied even after vaccination.  Hands should be kept sanitized.  Social distance must be observed.
 14. Who will be selected after the arrival of various vaccines?
 The vaccine will be selected based on the data from the clinical trial and will be licensed.  It is important to ensure that a complete schedule of single vaccines is adopted.  The dosage of the vaccine cannot be changed.
15. Does India have the capacity to store vaccines at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees?
 India runs the world’s largest immunization program.  This includes 26 million infants and 29 million pregnant women.  This program has been further strengthened.
